OFFENSE / SPACE

Attack the open grass.

Use your concepts to create access to the space the defense gives you. The teaching question: where is the open grass, and how does the receiver get there?

Open the coaching prompts
  • Identify the space the concept is designed to attack.
  • Track how defenders respond to the routes.
  • Connect the available space to the quarterback’s read.

Topic drawn from Coach Bartlett’s NDSU reel notes. This is a teaching summary, not an embedded game clip.

OFFENSE / LOW RED ZONE

Put the corner in conflict.

Coach Bartlett’s NDSU breakdown focuses on routes that create a high-low read on the corner near the goal line.

Open the coaching prompts
  • Identify which route threatens the corner high.
  • Identify the route occupying the lower window.
  • Pause before the throw: which window does the corner leave available?

Use the original film to check timing and spacing before adapting the concept.
